Is Your Movie Worth Watching?

Sometimes we don’t get what we want and things don’t happen as we imagined them to.  You plan to achieve something.  You put all your heart into it.  And it doesn’t work out.

In fact, if you are getting everything you ever wanted, you might not be setting your targets high enough.  Whether it be a relationship, a job, a business, a financial, a health or a personal development goal there is always another level you can reach.  One you haven’t quite accomplished yet.

You can learn to trust life.  That the path you had planned to take might not have worked out for now.  Usually though there is another path that opens up around the corner.  Or it might be years down the road but one inevitably does open up.  Soon you become glad that the thing or person you had wanted so badly hadn’t worked out.  Your mind couldn’t comprehend at the time that not achieving something could be good for you.  That something or someone even better is there for you.

Your life is your movie.  You are the director.  In a good movie if everything was predictable and worked out first time than it would be boring.  A typical Bollywood movie would only last 5 minutes.  Boy meets girl.  Both parents agree.  They live happily ever after.

Forest Gump gets told he is below average intelligence and never ventures outside Greenbow, Alabama.  Michael J. Fox goes back to the future and becomes rich and happy – no drama with Biff or being hit on by his own mother.

If things haven’t panned out exactly as you had dreamed – be thankful.  The suspense, the drama, the unpredictability is what makes the movie of your life worth watching.
