Listen to them.  Agree with them. Nod your head.  And thank them for their wise advice. 

Then go back out there and make it happen anyway. 

Don’t waste energy and your talent trying to convert those who don’t want to be converted to your way of seeing the world. 

Instead, always watch for friends with “can do” attitudes. They might tell you your goals are ambitious.  Even overly ambitious.  And they will tell you that you will find a way to make it happen and perhaps that they can even help you get there. 

Those are the ones worth discussing your ideas further with. 

The others let them live in their small version of reality – content to know that the world “as bad as it is” will remain the same, and they just saved “another crazy fool” to even attempt from trying to change it.
